Fresnillo reducing emissions as Juanicipio production nears

London-listed Fresnillo is the world’s largest silver producer, with the vast majority of its operations being organic developments. With initial production from the world’s most exciting silver project at Juanicipio, a joint venture with junior MAG Silver, in Zacatecas due within a matter of weeks, the company is working up its next generation of assets and embracing the industry-wide carbon reduction challenge. Mining Journal spoke with executive director Octavio Alvidrez to find out more.
