English Bay Capital president and vice president of corporate development at Canada-focused Maple Gold Mines, Lang has been advising American Pacific and now replaces Alnesh Mohan on the board which also includes CEO Warwick Smith, president Eric Saderholm, CFO Norman Wareham and independent Kenneth Cunningham.

OceanaGold can earn up to 51% of Tuscarora, near Nevada's Carlin Trend and about 20km southwest of Jerritt Canyon, by spending US$4 million over four years on exploration. It then has an option to take its stake to 75% by investing a further $6 million.

"On behalf of APM I'd like to welcome Joness to the board of directors," Smith said. "He continues to be a proven talent in the junior resource industry. We are fortunate to have him on board."
