Corporate Changes at SRK UK

SRK Consulting (UK) Ltd (SRK UK) is pleased to announce that Dr Tim Lucks has taken up the position of Managing Director replacing Richard Oldcorn who, in line with our succession strategy, steps down after five years in the role. Richard continues as Director of the Company and a Practice Leader.

"I am very pleased to welcome Tim into his new role as SRK UK Managing Director. Tim has already contributed significantly to the success of the Company over many years, through his roles as head of Geology and as a Director and will continue to support our clients through his technical input as well as carrying out his new managerial and stewardship roles - good luck Tim!" - Richard Oldcorn

Tim is a specialist in the development and management of exploration and resource programmes, multi-disciplinary due diligence studies, and technical studies ranging from scoping to feasibility level. Tim will continue to undertake technical work alongside his new management responsibilities.

"I feel extremely fortunate to be taking on this role at such an exciting time in the industry. I look forward to continuing to work with the talented and dedicated team at SRK UK, and to delivering robust and innovative technical solutions and adding value to our global client base." - Tim Lucks

The above change happens at the same time as Dr Mike Armitage leaves SRK after over 30 years of service. Mike is a former Chairman and Managing Director of SRK UK, Chairman of SRK Global, and past Board member of several SRK practices. While Mike is leaving SRK he will continue to be actively involved in the mining industry and will retain his consulting links with SRK. SRK wishes him well in his new endeavours.

"Having worked closely with Mike for the last 27 years, I can truly say that he has been one of the most important contributors to the development and success of SRK UK and the SRK Global brand over this time, both through imparting his technical knowledge and insights, and also through his leadership and mentoring at all levels in the Company. Mike's highly developed technical skills, experience, and his ability to analyse and solve complex problems, and present outcomes clearly to clients and colleagues, has been an invaluable asset to SRK and a steadfast ambassador of Oskar Steffen's legacy. We will miss Mike's direct input into our business but wish him well in his new endeavours and hope that he will stay close to the SRK family."- Dr Iestyn Humphreys, colleague and former MD and Chairman at SRK UK

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with SRK but am looking forward to some new challenges and am confident that SRK UK is better placed now than ever to provide a full range of consultancy services to the mining industry. I wish Tim all the very best in his new role." - Mike Armitage
