Chile government wants more mining

“We want more mining,” Chile’s sub-secretary of mining Willy Kracht told delegates at the Cesco Mining and Sustainability Seminar: Critical Challenges for Sustainable Mining, and said a mining transition needs to occur to meet the challenge of climate change and the energy transition, while also responding to community concerns about mining development.
