Tungsten eyes end of hard times

It has been a rocky few years for the tungsten industry. From a nominal price peak of US$410-425 per metric tonne unit in July 2013, prices for ammonium paratungstate (APT) – the key intermediate – tumbled to a low of $160-170/mtu in February 2016 and have generally remained below $200/mtu throughout 2016.
