Tethyan shuffles board

Tethyan Resources (TSXV:TETH) has appointed John Carlile to its board of directors, with two other board members resigning.

John Carlile was on the team that discovered Newcrest's Gosowong mine in Indonesia

Peter Mullens and Gokhan Kantarcigil both resigned, effective immediately, although Mullens will remain involved with the company as a technical advisor.

Carlile is a geologist with over 35 years' experience in the resource industry, having held senior executive and director positions with major and junior miners.

Noteworthy senior roles include being president of Newcrest Mining's Indonesian and Philippines subsidiaries and chairman of oil company Pearl Energy.

He has a proven track record of mineral discovery and business building in Asia and was exploration manager, Asia for Newcrest when it discovered the Gosowong mine.

He is currently on the boards of Japan Gold, Southern Arc Minerals and Equator Gold.
