Aurcana appoints COO

Aurcana (TSXV:AUN) has appointed Brian Briggs as COO to oversee its development projects, as well as its Revenue-Virginius silver and Shafter mines in Colorado and Texas.

Briggs has more than 30 years' experience in engineering, mine development and mining operations in North America and Africa, and has worked for Shell Mining and Rio Tinto, as well as many junior miners.
 
He is CEO of Ouray Silver Mines, which Aurcana acquired in December 2018, a position he will retain.
 
Aurcana CEO Kevin Drover said, as the company psoitioned itself as a mid-tier producer again with the restart of the Revenue-Virginius and Shafter mines, it needed to streamline its management structure and Briggs brought a wealth of experience to the COO role.
