John Pfahl John Pfahl, a mining engineer with more than 15 years of global mining experience, has expertise in strategic planning, business improvement, investment analysis, risk analysis, capital markets and project valuation in the mining field. His background activities include project and investment management, strategic evaluations, technical and commercial due diligence, structuring and negotiating terms in mergers and acquisitions, and project finance for projects ranging from exploration through production and across a broad spectrum of commodities. Before his two years at SRK, Pfahl was with a mining focused private equity fund where he worked on sourcing investment opportunities, running due diligence activities, structuring and negotiating transactions and managing investments, including taking board seats on portfolio companies. He also guest lectures at the Colorado School of Mines, has presented at numerous industry conferences, and has authored multiple articles on mining investment and strategy.
