Fission in the right lake

Our readers have nominated Fission Uranium as one of the explorers of the year. Spun out from Fission Energy after an acquisition by Denison Mines in February 2013, the company was left with land in an under-explored and unwanted part of Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin. Two-and-a-half years later, the company is sitting on the third largest deposit ever delineated in the basin and one of the highest grade deposits worldwide. Chief operating officer Ross McElroy and CEO Dev Randhawa discussed the company’s exploration approach with Mining Journal.
