“Things will start to get better in 2017.” I would like a dollar for every time I have heard that. Not just during the shudders of January, people were mumbling that as far back at late November. In late 2015, and before the first month of 2016 was even over, people were talking like 2016 couldn’t be over soon enough and then the good times would again roll.
They just can’t bear to talk about 2016 if it’s going to be as bad as the year they just endured, and given the year they just endured, they really can’t imagine 2016 being any better. So better to look...
